Recruitment for 13 posts
Tesla shared an advertisement related to recruitment on its LinkedIn page. The company is looking for candidates for 13 posts including customer facing and bank end. Tesla needs 5 people each in Delhi and Mumbai. This recruitment will be for the posts of consultant and service technician. At the same time, recruitment for the posts of customer engagement manager and delivery operation specialist is only for Mumbai.
Tesla will also set up its plant in India. The company is busy looking for land. The company is trying to establish the plant in the states with automotive hubs. Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu are its priority. It is believed that Tesla will invest three billion dollars on this plant to be built in India. It is believed that Tesla will make its cheapest electric car worth Rs 20 lakh in India. Some time ago, news also came that the company has also opened an office in Pune.

Indian government reduced tariff
There were reports of Tesla starting business in India for many years. But now Elon Musk has shown activism. Recently PM Modi also met Elon Musk in America. Tesla had kept distance due to high tariff in India. But now the government has reduced the basic customs duty on cars priced above US $ 40,000 from 110 to 70 percent.
