Sad news came from the world of Hollywood. On Sunday, August 17, 2025, British actor Terence Stamp passed away. He died at the age of 87.
Terence Stamp was no ordinary name in Hollywood. He played General Zon in the films Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980). Now, his passing has left a lasting legacy in Hollywood.
In a statement regarding Stamp's passing, his family said he was an extraordinary actor. He left behind a remarkable body of work.

Regarding his acting career, Terence Stamp began his acting career with a role in the film Bully Bud in 1962. He then won a scholarship to study further in his field. He received a scholarship to the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
Early in his career, he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. He also received a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Male Newcomer at the time.

Throughout his career, Terence Stamp has been known as an actor who often plays villainous roles. However, he also starred in The Collector (1965) and Far From the Madding Crowd (1967) with his then-girlfriend, Julie Christie.
He was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor and a BAFTA for his role as a transgender woman in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
